The past years we have hardly had any REAL winters here in the Netherlands. And that can be seen in the garden. When I walked into the backyard the other day I found a small patch of these lovely tiny cyclamen. Ofcourse I do enjoy them...but they are supposed to bloom in the summer.

Cyclamen hederifolium (tuincyclaam)

Het is wel vroeg, maar ook wel erg mooi om zo snel alweer van de bloemetjes te mogen genieten!!

Thats global warming for you. We've had such mild winters the last two years here, that the fruit trees have budded ready to go in midwinter, then a late frost has killed the new growth off. The fruitgrowers are finding it difficult to read the seasons these days.
